  1. nothing to do with your post, but how can tdc decide to offer an existing officer the post of chief exec without advertising it?

  2. Thanks, I look forward to his posts.

Michael, any chance of updating the links on your 'Thanet Blogs' site sometime? I must confess that I generally only read the blogs that are on there.

  3. Peter tell me what you think I should add and remove and I will sort it out.

23.56 word is that she is pretty good at what she does and that we could easily do a lot worse, but I will endeavour to find out more, and no I don’t really know what the rules over this one are.

I certainly found Richard Samuel to be courteous and usually responsive to questions and I do give these people a fairly hard time, so I think in many ways it is a case of wait and see.

  4. I'll leave that entirely up to you Michael, as lately I haven't really kept up with what local blogs are & aren't regularly updated. Feel free to remove my Naked in Thanet blog though (it's not dead, it's just in hibernation!).

  5. because someone appears to be good at what they do and they have the support of the ruling council does not really seem to be an accountable way of appointing some one to a post paying £120K plus of public money

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
