Pictures of Piermont Park Broadstairs and a few pictures of Broadstairs today.

Just one of those walk in the park posts, really because of promising to publish more pictures, I guess mostly for those who can’t take walk in the park.

Pictures should all be up by about 6pm at http://michaelsbookshop.com/laptop413/id2.htm don’t know if they will be any good as I haven’t seen them yet.

    1. The only trouble is, if you look really carefully, you can see Christine's face peeping through the undergrowth where she is chained to a tree, waiting for Norman to bring her lunch and in readiness for the next round of protests against the community centre. Once they kick off you can kiss peace and tranquility goodbye for, where Christine lurks, he of the bomming voice will not be far behind.

    2. I thought I recognised Christine sitting on the bench?

    5. Solo Gays, sit comfortably, engage brain and try to understand. The existing dilapidated park hal and the old age concern building are to be demolished and replaced with a new community centre of smaller footprint. There will be more park for the nature lovers to enjoy and a nice purpose built centre for all the groups that currently are having to cope in the totally inadequate existing building. Consultations and a couple of elections, where it has been introduced as an issue, indicate that most people want it, a handful of objectors, mainly non Broadstairs residents, do not. Tough!

  2. You do make me laugh Tom, I was just letting my imagination run riot. I played parts in the Broadstairs Dickens Plays throughout the 80s and 90s, so you now have a clue as to my sense of humour?

I am meeting Cllr Wells at a top secret location later this week, so that he can explain in detail to me what is going on.

Please note comments that may be libellous, comments that may be construed as offensive, anonymous derogatory comments about real people, comments baiting internet trolls, comments saying that an anonymous comment was made by a named real person, boring comments and spam comments, comments in CAPs will be deleted. Playground stuff like calling real people by their time stamp or surname alone, referring to groups as gangs, old duffers and so on will result in deletion. Comment that may be construed as offensive to minority groups is not allowed here either, so think before you write it, remember that the internet is a public place, that it is very difficult to be truly anonymous and that everyone who uses it leaves a trail of some sort. Also note the facility to leave anonymous comment will be turned of during periods when I am unable to monitor comment, this will not affect people commenting who are signed on to their blogger accounts. When things are particularly difficult on the commercial spam front I may turn comment moderation on for periods.

If you feel that someone has left a comment that is offensive and directed at you personally please email me (link on the sidebar) asking to have it removed, you will need to tell which post and the date and timestamp of the offending comment. Please do not reply to the offending comment as I will assume you continuing the dialogue as meaning that you want the comments left there.
