Margate Dreamland appeal, Judges Decision

As this is one of the more important milestones in Thanet’s recent history I thought some people may wish to read the judge’s decision.
Here is the link to the decision http://www.bailii.org/cgi-bin/markup.cgi?doc=/ew/cases/EWHC/Admin/2013/973.html&query=margate&method=boolean

  1. All we need now is for Tesco to finally get the go ahead, then we'll have two things in Margate that will attract far more people than the over-funded Turner Contemporary!

  2. What's the story regarding TDC selling Dreamland cinema last week?

  3. I have just heard on Academy FM [Only just, 'cos their signal is so weak here in Cliftonville] that the goons who have been squatting on and idle Dreamland site for the last seven or so years 'have 21 days in which to appeal'. Surely some mistake? And, if it is true, then they must be reminded of that old dictat to 'either piss or get off the pot'. Ye Gods! You couldn't make it up could you?

  4. How can they appeal against an appeal decision?

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
