Walk From Ramsgate to Broadstairs and back

We did as the title says today, nothing very exciting click here for the pictures, one day I will go through and delete the worse ones and clean some of the bits out of the camera. I also noticed that I called the html sub directory the wrong month so perhaps it was more tiring than I thought and the pictures seem to be mostly too dark sorry about that

  1. Michael, your gallery should be used as an advert for thanet. It looks like you had a great day.

  2. Ken thank you for those kind words, however the wretched camera did make what was glorious sunny day look much gloomier than it really was in a lot of the pictures.

We are certainly very lucky to live in an area with such a marvellous coastline and it was a very pleasant day with lunch at Osteria Posillipo Pizzeria in Broadstairs, something I can highly recommend.

  3. Just to think Margate and Ramsgate used to look similar. Shame about the council closing them down.

  4. I went for a swim at the Westcliff on Monday. Not too cold actually, but the tide was out so it took a while to get the water to even knee height!

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
