Then there were the Rick Card revelations, I don’t think anyone had given much credence to what he has been saying, mainly I think because of the way he had been saying it. Another one of his assertions has been confirmed to me by someone totally independent from Rick. It concerns firearms something I know next to nothing about so I won’t post about it, I shall only say that the person who confirmed it will now take the matter forward.
However I now come to a matter I do know something about, and that is the electrical generators, I emailed Rick and asked him what was the matter with them explaining that I could possibly understand a technical answer, I got a precise technical answer that could only have come from a very competent engineer.
The accident at Chernobyl nuclear power station was caused by the failure of an emergency backup generator and Rick is saying that we may have some of these faulty generators in some of our nuclear power stations.
Another matter of some note in the last couple of weeks was that of deleting Sandy Ezekiel’s main email address leader@thanet.gov.uk now regardless of how you feel about the current leader of the council, he is still that. The main representative of us, the electorate and to make a fool of him in this way sends out a very clear message about what the council officers think of us. Also it means if you have emailed him or replied to one of his emails and he hasn’t responded, it is very probably because he hasn’t received it.
Boring!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFair enough but you took time to read it you dork.
ReplyDeleteNot trying to start any flame wars, but Tchernobyl was caused by a test badly prepared, directed and executed, not by the failure of the diesel generators.
ReplyDeleteThe test was carried out just before the reactor went into a planned shutdown and maintenance period, to show if it was possible to supply the safety cooling system by the turbo-alternators in case of failure of the normal supply before the diesel generators took over.
During this test the safety cooling system was disconnected, against operating rules.
Changing between automatic control to mid-power regulation, without calibration between the systems.
Locking out the turbine safety shut down systems.
Locking out the pressure and level controls on the steam separators.
Going on the age of the UK nuclear stations, if the faults hadn't shown up by now during start up checks I would be surprised.

I have put a bit more on my site now. Pulled my punches a bit there ....
The Scottish Energy Minister called for a report from me in his Dounreay inquiry and then called in UKAEA Police who reported to DTI Civil Nuclear Security Mike Smith.
Now nothing is being said towards me from Whitehall.
Gen De Chasterlain decommissioning IRA made a report of concern to NI Secretary some years back that sabotage (a planned IRA terrorist technique published in Scarman Report 1972) had not been included in the declaration and decommissioning terms of the Good Friday Agreement.
That report from Gen De Chasterlain was about when Kent's last Chief constable quit without notice.
Labour is regulating. There are new Security of Electrical Supply Regs for NHS now.
But they are not compelling inquiry which would expose their GFA blunder.
Govt may be lying that Dounreay 1998 incident (which was a serious nuclear leak and triggered a four billion decommissioning operation) was not processing the Soviet weapons grade nuclear waste when the power and backup power failed.
This begs the question where did it go in UK for reprocessing and how did it get there ?
How easy it is for the likes of Lucy Mail and ECR and Thanet bloggers to slag me off and suggest I get a life.
How much more leukemia will Scottish children exhibit now after Dounreay 1998 ? ECR can tell them get a Pravda life. I will rest on the fact I tried to protect their lives and health.
In 1969 the Army examined ways to combat sabotage and IRA assets in trades unions.
But I was told, before I transwfgerred early to Long term reserve to join police, that if a conflict ever arose the Constable Oath direct to the Crown must take precedence.
In my view after Bloody Sunday 1972 when OIRA went to ceasefire there was a blunder assuming that the less sophisticated PIRA would not adopt the sabotage plans.
This decision seems to have been maintained even after the INLA broke from OIRA ceasefire.
The political wing of INLA is the Irish Republican Socialist Party.
I am not aware that George Richard Maison has sued or objected over the author Pat Monteath's published description of identifiably him as a member of IRSP who narks to PIRA ?

ReplyDeleteThere is a pretty obvious flaw to the Russian explanation that they allowed a man, with no nuclear qualifications, to run a test of the flywheel or regenerative braking experiment. And that he switched off five safety systems to conduct the test for which he was no way qualified. Including that he switched the diesel backups off ?
The test was whether the inertia in the turbine would generate stop gap power to the coolant pump until the diesel gennies came on line.
So if he switched off the diesel gennies what was his strategy for when the turbine ran out of inertia ?
So we are expected to believe that to test the twenty second interval between emergency shut down and backup supply coming on line he switched off the backups ?
Sounds more like a Russian storyto me.
The Russian diesel backups failed.

dork is a nasty cheap American word you peasent
I am an engineer not a physicist so don't crack my jaw on physics as I know little about it.
ReplyDeleteI do know that Hilda Murrell had concerns about coolant water and the 3 mile island incident.
I was able to give her nephew Commander Robert Green RN Intelligence Retd the information that some linear accelerator systems in the NHS had developed algae mutation in water systems. (Middlesex Hospital)
As far as I know Rob Green asked a Professor Chemistry to look into this. And as far as I know this relates to concerns about Three Mile Island in which the mutated algae water may have been flushed to environment. And this may be the first incident known for a mutation to occur where physics theory had predicted it was impossible.
That is not my subject so I just relate it as I understand it Michael.
I was phoned by Tam Dalyell MP many years ago about his "Thatcher's torpedo" concerns. The Belgrano incident.
What I reported on my 1989 findings at Plessey Torpedoes was that there was no saboteur at the factory but there was a wrongly wired factory which must undermine the MOD standards of reliability in electronics produced there. And a couple of years later I added the information about a retd test tech who could confirm that Royal Navy test records were falsified.
Now first to the power of irritating on the net. Not many months ago I was emailed by the engineer who first set up the test regime at that factory in 1976. He gave me the names who from the outset had orchestrated falsification of records to just get production out the door.
I reported this to Gwent Chief constable.
In 1989 my technical explanation went on to be agreed by two MOD Procurement experts.
In time James Arbuthnot the Procurement Minister intervened and the casefile went from Gwent Special Branch to MOD Police.
It ended up with a man called HARTLEY who was head of MOD Police procurement liaison. For nil further action (the factory closed 1200 redundancies but no prosecutions)
My interest in Rob Green was his training and possible role as a back stop quality control analyst in RN Intelligence. Ie One of the men who would analyse that in service reliability was poor and raise investigation back along the supply chain.
The reason obsolete 1932 design WW2 torpedos were fired at Belgrano was the notorious unreliability of modern systems. That is public domain reported information.
The conjecture is that Maggie Thatcher, in making the decision to go for Belgrano. was advised of the modern weapon unreliability situation and that it was best to attack outside EZ with the 1932 torps.
If there was minimal damage then that could be explained as humanitarianism. If the Belgrano was sank then wait to see if it persuaded Argentine to fleet in being. It did. War won.
The press had a field day, after the murder in 1984 of Hilda Murrell, playing a guessing game was the motive her possession of Rob Greens alleged Belgrano secrets OR was it her submission she was due to make against the nuclear industry at the Sizewell Inquiry.
Now of course the murderer convicted was a newspaper boy at the time.
Nonetheless the conspiracy theory of the 1980s was flawed. Rob Green's RN Intelligence knowledge was a threat to the nuclear industry.
If MOD assured engineering can fail and remain unexplained for 14 years what are the chances of Nuclear Engineering assurances being accepted ?
So there was a relationship of the Belgrano attack to the Sizewell Nuclear Inquiry. The fear that the history of unreliable and falsely certified engineering would hit public domain.
I made a crime complaint. And that is why I can tell you all.
Oooh boring.
