Pinch and a Punch It’s the First of the Month; the state of Thanet blogs and local computing.

One again the referral statistics for this blog http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/811/ this the closest I can get to a popularity chart of the other local blogs.

The only one that would allow me to highlight the right bits of the web statistics to copy, being Internet Explorer, so I had to use it although doing so reveals that I am well on the way to being mentally defective.

I also had top use Chrome to paste the results into as otherwise the formatting would have been all over the place, need I go on.

One interesting problem now for me and many others in Thanet is that you cant install the latest version of internet explorer on computers running Windows XP, which means that you either have to run the risk of using a an out of date browser or increase your IQ.

I may ramble on.

  1. With your win7 acer you should try the Fish Tank frame per sec test on IE9 and other browsers, IE( seems to have caught Fixfox up.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
