Pinch and a punch it’s the first of the month and some surreal traffic problems for us bloggers.

Here are the referral statistics for this blog http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/1111/

These show where the people who came here by clicking on another link somewhere on the internet came from, and are the nearest I can get to a popularity chart of the other Thanet websites especially the blogs.
This graph is of last months page views from blogger stats.

This graph is of last months page views using stats based on a code I have embedded in the blog.

Well according to the graphs either this blog got about 20,000 page views last month or it got about 13,000, both sets of statistics can’t be right.

About a quarter of the people who arrive at this site do so by clicking on a link, on another site, another quarter come here directly, mostly by using favourites I would guess although with me It’s the auto complete in my browser, typing T and hitting enter is usually enough. The rest just under half the visitors arrive using a search engine, so here is a list of the key words they used in their searches to arrive here http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/1111/id3.htm

I will ramble on about this if I get time

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
