Quick watercolour sketch of the power station today, well it is my day off, I took one photo of it with flash and one without, I don’t know if either of them will look ok, but there you go.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
Nice One Michael, I always intended to paint but never did. I too was going to take a picture when over at the reserve last week but didn't ......... hmmmm I am spotting a theme here
ReplyDeleteDon if you do decide to have a go, discuss the equipment with me first, assuming your hands are pretty shaky I would go for watercolour like I do, the paint runs all over the place and the end result is mostly a mater of luck.
ReplyDeleteHiya Michael and Don
ReplyDeleteMy wife started art classes a couple of years ago. She is currently doing ink wash and then painting out using a bleach solution to create like silhouettes.
Michael if you check out my Facebook friend Nigel Davis. His profile pic is the one used when he gained the offer of work as "Taurus" on the TV show Gladiators. He has said it is fine for my wife to have a go at painting that. A light shade and sheen challenge I think.
Is it MS you have Don ? There is one MS lad who trains at the gym here. An Afro Caribbean lad who was a roofer ! I think his main issue is the huge fatigue that is part of the condition. I seem to recall trying to look it up for him, not much on MS physio on google, and saying cut back on the cardio and increase the weights as it does something to help against the fatigue and also to mitigate the pain. Maybe you are more advanced than him.
My blog on training with COPD
I got my wife the projector from Argos so a photo can be projected and enlarged on to the canvas to get the initial outline and proportions. Best of luck with it Don. Will we be seeing an exhibition at the book shop entitled "The Earner Centre" ?
MS USA man
