Westwood Thanet McDonald’s and the bizarre zebra crossing.

If you don’t have children then you probably don’t have occasion to visit MacDonald’s and so have probably never noticed this unusual feature of the zebra crossing outside one of our local branches.
Most zebra crossings, perhaps all the other ones, take you and your children from one pavement to another, however this one terminates at a tree in Sainsbury’s car park.
Was there I wonder some irresolvable dispute between MacDonald’s and Sainsbury’s.

  1. KCC would charge £100k for a zebra crossing. So would TDC but not do it!

  2. KCC do the best chicken though and it's right next to Asda...

    1. Surely you mean KFC unless the county council have branched out into fast food retail?

  5. It's an excellent facility, perhaps brought to us by the same planners who devised this wonderful 10m cycle path in Broadstairs:

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
