Painting pictures today, Ramsgate and Canterbury

My day started in Enoteca Café/Bar wosisname  Ramsgate where I did a bit more to the picture I started there ages ago.

Then onto Canterbury – some say I took my teenage children shopping – to fess up I didn’t actually go inside any shops, I seldom do, bookshops excepted. How is this done? Er well, I sit in the window of Chocolate café sketching and occasionally receive photos via whatzap of wonderful items with requests about financing their acquisition, fortunately I claim technological ignorance.

I sort of fancy a post modernist, perhaps Dada out of Magritte wosiscolour of Cathedra Cantium, not exactly a blue cathedral on a stone sky, but? that type of kidney – early experiments um.

That was followed by this very quick pen and wosh however halfway through I got showered with tea, so what started on the left of the picci as a tall thin cathedra became a short fat cathedral on the right.

Here follows a few of today’s photos from my mobile phone.

  1. Well played that man. I remember hours stood outside shops being dragged round as my sister shopped. I wish I could have sat brooding over a coffee.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
