This is another one not to be missed.

  1. Nice photographs yet again, Michael. Perhaps we need a few more of this non contentious postings to calm things down though I suppose that, whatever the thread, there is no guarantee the one track mind brigade will not take it over.

Sad to see Eastcliff Richard has had enough again after his blog has been repeatedly hijacked by you know who on his pet topics. Makes you wonder if care in the community is such a bright idea.

  2. I think ECR meant you Cllr Epps and your tedious posts across all the blogs even hijacking this post with your snide insults. And non-contentious discussions on trivia are hardly of use given the appalling state of our corrupt and incompetent councils are they? Driver is right to refer to you and your colleagues as lazy good for nothings.

    1. Excuse me, Anon, but I at least referred to Michael's photos. You do not even bother what the post is about, but kick off straight to your own agenda.

    2. I think Driver, as you so rudely refer to him, 1:50, is entitled to be called Councillor.

I have just checked ECR's last couple of posts with comments and I can find two from William Epps, relevant and on topic, whereas you have a dozen or so and even manage to turn one on a Broadstairs car park into aircraft and pollution. You are the bore, Sir, nobody else.

    3. You make the point 3:03 that Epps is repeatedly posting - even doing it again here - with nothing of substance much like your own post. Holyer sticks to one post a day and Epps should do the same or provide his own blog.

Neither Epps nor Driver or the other lazy good for nothings are entitled to the courtesy title of councillor seeing as you ask.

    4. Anon 6.19, if in your view, Cllr Driver is not worth the title, how come you are quoting him as the expert on all his council colleagues. Are you saying he is also a lazy good for nothing as he described them.

    5. Never forget Anon 6:19 that I know who you are, and that I am just humouring you. As are several others, but you would be wise not to try our patience. I pity you.

    6. Anon 6:29 pm, Your statement that I stick to one post as is nothing more than than a figment of your imagination. But never mind, if it it makes you happy.

  3. Yes Peter this blog dies off to only Epps and Holyer when the comments moderation is put on. Most comments are fine and even Holyer now sticks to one comment a day. Epps is simply confusing insults for debate. And the more he posts the more stupid he reveals himself to be, probably this care in the community thing works for him here, and at least he's not in the council being idiotic or encouraging corruption. A sad old man really.

    1. Who writes the self-serving guff on Thanet press releases about TDC and flood defences? The tides were minimal yet Sandwich was flooded. Neither Ramsgate nor Margate were affected by the tides anyway and no defences were in place at Ramsgate. Why hasn't Pleasurama been cleared to prevent the rubble washing around if there is a tidal swell?

    2. Sandwich has nothing to do with TDC, fool.

    3. 6.24, why don't you respond to it then on Thanet Press Releases instead of here?

    4. So why were TDC claiming minimal damage for their efforts there with the Environment Agency when there was floods - and in Thanet when there were no floods at all, fool?

I don't have a Google account to reply there so I raised it here.

And why hasn't Pleasurama been cleared? It's a year since the site/development was closed.

  4. Thanks Peter, I have posted about it

  5. Awful news: Arlington should be demolished and another Tesco is even worse spoiling the seafront.

  6. Peter,

You have made a good point.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
