1906 street map of Thanet and loads more train books in my bookshop.

A bit of fiddling about with a big picture as I am looking at improving the way I use the internet, blog, facebook, twitter and so on.

You may find the picture of this map coming up as a comment on my own post etc, but as it’s one of the star local maps I guess people won’t mind that much.

I have put the map up as one image on my own website, here is the image address http://michaelsbookshop.com/blogpicts3/9ac32c40.jpg although what happens if you click on it will depend on how your computer is set up.

It’s here as an image file of about 1 MB

Also as an image on my blog which should expand when clicked on I think the biggest you can get it on blogger is about an eight the size.
and next trying putting the image on the blog in a different way so it should get bigger when you click on it.

Obviously if you find the map on the internet you will want to read the names of the streets, so all in all this is a bit of an experiment. Edited post or post again type of kidney.

For the dedicated followers of the my bookshop and with the proviso that it’s Thursday tomorrow here is the link to the pictures of the books that went out on the shelves today http://michaelsbookshop.blogspot.co.uk/2017/02/railways-in-bookshop.html

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
