Back to nearly normal blog posting, now I have nearly mastered the new phone.

There is some sort of Manston update too.

What can you say? Well the DFT have posted the meeting note for their meeting with RiverOak on 16^th September today, when you consider it is now the 26^th of October, well kicked into the very long grass seems about right.

Out and about with me in Ramsgate and the art of fortuitous blogging.

Down the years of blogging here in Thanet one of the things I have done is put up lots of photos. I don’t mean the historical ones, which generate the most interest, but snaps just taken walking around the area. I don’t think I am going to win any prizes for photography, what I like to do is just point the camera – well nowadays the phone and point and click.

The main thing is being able to set the camera so you can do this, for the most part I don’t want to have to set the focus, aperture, shutter speed – nor do I want to wait while the brain in the camera tries to do lots of stuff automatically – particularly with the focus.

Anyway my new phone an OUKITEL K6000 Pro would have none of this, something that wasn’t made any easier by my not being able to find the instruction manual online.

On to techno failure

I recently bought a new OUKITEL K6000 Pro the idea was to replace my, ageing 2011 Galaxy Note and it’s a case of I’m loving it apart from the camera which I can’t seem to just snap with and get reasonable results for the my blog.

The irony here is that I also bought the same phone for two of my children who find it excellent, but then they don’t blog and therefore when they take photos they are not lots of quick snaps like I take.

So here are the out and about photos, they will enlarge if clicked on. With the old phone there would have been perhaps one or two focus fails, but with the new one it’s about half of them, anyone know what I am doing wrong. Obviously when they come out right they are very good, so I think it must something I am doing wrong.
