I put a counter on this blog a couple of months ago that seems to have passed the 10,000 mark, so it seems an appropriate time to ask readers if I am doing it ok anything you think I ought to be covering that I’m not or anything you think I am covering that I ought not to be?

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
Michael, always look forward to your selection of pictures, old Ramsgate in particular. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteI think your blog is terrific.
ReplyDeleteI send a link to your blog by email to people I know who may be interest.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you both, most of the pictures are due to the kindness of people who send them to me electronically or lend them to me to scan, I buy what I can but put most of my resources into local books because it is a more permanent way of preserving the pictures than the internet. I have to admit to loosing quite a bit of material due to computer mishaps but once the books are out and spread round the area the material is safe.
ReplyDeleteIts always a pleasure to visit, Michael and just gloat over the pictures or read your informed views on local problems.
