Midweek Ramble, Council Crime, Blogs and so on

The wake of the Ezekiel trial certainly seems to have left the local blogs in a strange state, the lead article in the last week’s Gazette, see http://www.thisiskent.co.uk/net-widens-Thanet-wake-Ezekiel-trial/story-18287724-detail/story.html#axzz2MllW1ffo has left a bit of who’s next atmosphere. Eastcliff Richard seems to have returned, although I am not sure if this is a temporary measure due to the trial or some longer term return. He did do who’s next post the other day with comments disallowed and then took it down fairly promptly, but who can say what ECR’s motives may be. He has certainly put up one of his very funny videos and is evidently not using youtube to host it, so it may appear here, if my itc is up to it.

  1. Michael. If only it were seven years. Having watched the videos it is clear that Ezekiel type behaviour has been endemic within Thanet Tories from the very beginnings of TDC in the early 70's. No wonder Thanet has gone from good to bad to worse. In the 70's, Cyril Hoser was in command in North Thanet and John Thomas in South. Aitken and his dogsbody Gale kept the lid on things while Hoser ran a Council lottery and printed dollar bills and GCE certificates as a sideline to his Council antics. Thomas took huge improvement grants while pretending to be a builder while strutting around as an important member of TDC and KCC. The catalogue is endless. It would explain why the conservative members who wielded real power, Hoser through to Ezekiel, have surrounded themselves with prostitutes, drunks and destitute idiots who need financial 'help' as voting fodder, in order to get their own way. Unfortunately the prostitutes, drunks and idiots have themselves caused far too much adverse publicity by killing cats, getting drunk, buggering off to South America and giving themselves planning permissions for bungalows in Birchington. It will be interesting to see whose door plod knocks on next. I can think of several candidates for the honour. The Gazette reports that current enquiries may involve European money, so it is likely to involve the grant money given to a former conservative councillor's company to convert a former sweet shop on Margate sea front. Time will tell if it is yet another Tory who gets charged next.

    2. Cyril Hoser's crime was minor to those that share the value system of THANET conservatives. Crooks, Bigots and Drunks

  2. Anonymouse 5:33pm,

You are going to look a bit of a plonker if the police go knocking on a labour door, maybe even yours.

  3. Thats only wishful thinking on your part John. History, and what some of us know about Thanet Conservatives suggests otherwise

    1. I hear that the Sherif is in town. If in truth you kmow something, which I very much doubt, then go and tell the police.

    2. Even Roger Gale speaks up for the convicted THANET conservative leader

  4. I can assure you 6:54pm there is no-one in Labour who has anything to worry about.

    1. Anonymouse 7:12 pm,

Yet another vacuous post: how are you able to offer such assurances? Do you know everything? You may well believe you do.

  5. Peter I know I am often being accused of having various political leanings, but one thing I do like is the occasional change from blue to red, or red to blue and I guess if this happened it would be a case of forever blue.

  6. "..his crime was minor...get a life people!" This is the whole problem, in a nutshell. Ezekiel gets sent down for 18 months and there are still idiots in Thanet who think he hasn't done anything much wrong. You don't get 18 months for nothing much. It was a serious offence. We need to ensure that people who have such a lacodaisical attitude toward the law are removed from positions of power and influence.

  8. So-called Tom Clarke's ilk used to say the say about Sandy. One only needs to read some of the nasty bigoted comments that so-called Tom Clarke has written on local blog's to know that he is part of the THANET brand of so-called Conservatives. 1980s ultra right wing style bigot!

    3. Thank you for your vote of confidence, so called Anonymous at 3:01. What was the lady who confronted Gortdon Brown in the run up to the 2010 election, surely she was a bigot, well at least accortding to Gordon, like everyone who does not hang on to every word you left wing escapees from the Jeremy Kyle show spout, is a bigot. Grow up, man, and try to have an intelligent debate instead of simply labelling people.

By the way, what exactly is say the say in your first sentence? Oh, and the capitals are a dead give away.

  9. I wonder, Mr Clarke, do you get off on trying to identify and expose those who choose to comment anonymously. Like a puerile snitch in the playground you seem to delight in "telling" on those whom you do not like. You have -previously - blurted out in an accusatory maner what you believe (or have been led to believe) about the backgrounds of certain bloggers and almost wet yourself when, Miss-Marple-like, you identify a clue (as you see it) linking one post to another. I wonder, does your little arm ache from holding it so high in the air for so long?

    1. Only when the Fuehrer takes a long time to inspect the columns and keeping the arm at the heil gets a bit painful. Other than that it is all total pleasure. Mind you, I would love to claim credit for identify some of the anons, but several others have spotted their repetetive styles and literary DNA ahead of me.

  10. Tom Clarke/John Hamilton is a nasty hateful bitter and twisted person - he is part of Thanet Conservatives, he supports criminals and hates equality

Whereas you as as you squeak out from behind the skirts of anonymity are the epitome of probity and judgement.

    2. Presumably, Anon at 2:25, by your 'Tom Clarke/John Hamilton is' comment you are implying we are one and the same person. Awfully sorry to disappoint you, old chap, but anyone with half a cell could spot the difference in writing style even if we do agree on Ian Driver in the main.

On the rest of your critique of my personage, as to whether I am nasty and hateful is for others to judge, but I think I am a fairly easy going sort who is good to friends, family and animals. As to bitter, no, not in anyway, and am generally content with my lot in life. It annoys me that politicians have done so much harm to this country, but that is more anger than bitterness. I am most definitely not a member of the Conservative party though your assumption I must be says more about you and your pathological hatred of that party that would not give you high office. As an ex law enforcer I do not support criminals and I fully support true equality, where we all stand or fall by our own actions, rather than the corrupted version where positive discrimination favours minority groups over the majority.

    3. Anon 2.25, I bet when you wrote your comment about Tom Clarke and John Hamilton your face was red, you stamped your little tootsies and then minced off in anger. You really should relax more and stop getting so easily wound up. Or you could do what you usually do, and call the police.

  11. Anonymouse 4:52 PM,

You demonstrate once again that it's always those who preach 'diversity and equality' loudest who are the most vindictive and intolerant bigots imaginable.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
