Brian Homewood art exhibition at The York Street Gallery in Ramsgate

‘fraid this wasn’t completely hung when I got there so I probably didn’t get as good pictures of the pictures as I would have done. I will try and get back sometime in the next week while the exhibition is still on and not just to get better shots but because I think I justifies another look.

  1. Is this nude painting of a certain Broadstairs-based writer? Looks like her.

  2. Sure you are right, Peter. Could become as famous as the Mona Lisa!

Anyway, whilst I am here and blogging seems to have quietened off whilst everyone does their festive shopping, may I take this opportunity to wish all you regular bloggers, Michael, Peter, Barry, William, Joe, John, Simon, Allan, Richard, Duncan and, even Tim, and anyone else who joins us on these pages, all the very best for Christmas and the New Year.

    1. And you too William and everyone (even Hammy!), and special thanks to Michael for letting us all use his blog for (often) off-topic and rambling conversations. Have a great one everybody!

  3. This show runs until the 1st January 2014. (Now all hung of course!) Another great show by a local artist. With nine paintings sold so far.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
