This is about shoppers and tourists wading through rubbish while trying to shop in Ramsgate town centre
This didn't just apply to my shop but applied to the other shops between Plains of Waterloo and the pedestrianised area.
Obviously I complained about this using the council's form and every time I got the following reply, even when the rubbish had been there for several days.
"Thanet Forms From: noreply-notifications@thanet.gov.uk To: michaelchild@aol.com Tue 14 Jul at 10:27" No fly-tip was found at your reported location after being inspected, please recheck and resubmit another report. Thank you."
I don't think I've ever come across a situation where rubbish is piled in front of the shops in the town centre trading street.
So 3 weeks ago I contacted my ward counselors who were very responsive and the rubbish was cleared away and after that for the last two weeks the street has been clean and tidy at the beginning of the trading days.
Then today, the following photos show the situation here in King Street.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
