a couple of mysteries and a few old photos

Do you know where in Thanet?

Then there is this, in amongst the photos I took around 10 years ago, a lift motor somewhere in Thanet I think, but I can't remember where. Anyone know?

with this one, where was it taken from?

Summer is back

A few evening walk photos

The pubs are to open in 10 days, 874 new virus cases and 171 deaths today, link to gov number site

Michael's Bookshop where I work remains closed, at the moment - "granny has just died, can you arrange to come round and make an offer for her books?" has very little appeal, even if Boris said it was OK, which he hasn't so far.

Quarter day tomorrow, aka midsummers day, which is the day a lot of business rents should be paid

  1. Western Undercliff 'beach huts'. Bit of design classic though I never went inside one - did rinse out feet under the external taps there though. Took photos just before they were demolished but somewhere in my archive!!

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
