Some old pictures of Ramsgate and Margate sands and the view of Broadstairs from Deal.

So starting with summer sands pictures, as it's wet and wintery.

We went to Deal yesterday, mainly for the Oxfam bookshop where we buy a certain amount of books for ourselves and a certain amount of books for Michael's bookshop in Ramsgate.

I had a bit of a wander around and took a few photographs, the main batch of photographs being from the land would end of deal pier.

Smartphone cameras get better all the time and I realised while taking photographs of Ramsgate from Deal that beyond Ramsgate you could see Broadstairs with the wind farm in the background.

If you've got a bit of time and you do a certain amount of clicking on the photos below to expand them you will see just what I mean.

Today back at work here at Michael's Bookshop in Ramsgate I did get the time for a quick sketch after René Magritte and before work.
Finally for any book readers link to pictures of the books we put out for sale here at Michael's Bookshop in Ramsgate

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
