Missed Margate Meltdown, old Margate and one of those days.

Don’t know if that counts as historic Margate pictures, but I think you will agree ones below definitely do, click on the pictures to expand them.

A butter side up day today, I’ve turned down a Scottish fiver. What are you supposed to do? It says on the box, don’t take paper fivers, so I didn’t. anyone know the answer to this one?

Had to go to the chemist to get a dental prescription so took the camera to take some photos on the way – no card in camera and the dentist hadn’t signed the prescription, so I came back with my tail between my legs and am now writing the blog.

    Scottish (and NI) issued paper notes remain legal tender and you should have accepted it.

    Never been legal tender in England, but always accepted as a courtesy, however recently there has been a spate of forged Scottish notes here in Thanet

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
