Clubs and Societies Thanet

Hello Michael,I have been developing a directory of all the Clubs and Societies in the Thanet area. As you obviously have an interest in the area too would you considerhaving a look for any omissions or errors? It's a website where anyone cancontribute, so feel free to make changes.http://www.activethanet.com/

The idea is to provide a resource for everyone looking for a new activity to take up. Life is more than just work followed by pubs and clubs! Andyoungsters are less likely to create mischief if they are not bored. I wassurprised to discover that there is a lot going on in Thanet. So I've tried tobring all this information into one place.All the best,Parker

    Michael, shame your picture just misses out the old St Bennets site. One of the areas, where us planners did the area proud.

    Ken I believe I have a watercolour of it somewhere, not sure where it is at the moment but I will endeavour to dig it out for you.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
