Margaret Thatcher at the pearly gates cartoon

A quick cartoon for Margaret Thatcher in the hope it will give her pause for a chuckle during what may have been a difficult day.

  1. Off the top of my head

She originally wanted to be cremated but all the coal is still underground.

    1. Perhaps she should be buried at see and that Labour MP, who wants to dance on her grave, should have his wish fulfilled.

    2. Good riddens to the old bag, we won't miss her at all. God bless Clement Attlee

"Riddens" is not the correct spelling. What's with the "we"? When your IQ reaches 50 you should sell.

    4. Yet another smug and intellectually snobbish intervention from Holyer. Further proof that he really is a nasty piece of work.

    5. Anonymouse 10:37 aka the Manston Aquifer Man,

I know that some people might say you are a perfect buffoon. I say that you're not perfect, but you are doing all right.

      HAPPY NOW?

    7. Holyer, you purport to know everything, but I am not your Aquifer Man. I have no idea who he or she might be, even. What I do know is that you come across as a thoroughly nasty piece of work, and would surely feel more at home on John Hamilton's blog, as one of the thuggish, rent-a-gob members of the political right-wing locally.

Why are you SHOUTING? A person with your IQ should have a low voice too.

Of course you are the Manston Aquifer Man, with delusions of adequacy.

    10. Holyer, don't call me a liar and add that to your list of seriously unimpressive credentials. You are simply deluding yourself, and trying to mislead others. I guess that's the purpose and function of your political movement, though.

    11. I am the Aquifer Man, so Holyer is talking his usual mix of insults and foolishness. Next he'll be telling us the Manston aquifer isn't polluted and even if it is he doesn't care. Or he'll whine and mutter about something or other from RAF Manston of yesteryear. Then Clarke will pipe up about his army days and why it's all Labour's fault but also the Tories and UKIP for whatever it is. Maybe Mallinson then on why Manston is a great success and no-one will get cancer.

      The Aquifer Man

    12. How good of you, Aquifer old chap, to tell us who you are so we can identify you from all the other anons. Only trouble is, over on Thanet Press Releases, you are clouding the issue in response to someone who referred to you as the Aquifer Man, by asking if they mean the aquifer is polluted. Obviously I do not know for certain, but they probably mean your brain is polluted as you seem so obsessed with the aquifer, Manston, pollution and 0% salaries that your offerings become very monotonous to the rest of us.

Could you not give us a break and write a piece on the mating habits of the Saharan black scorpion or even your opinion on Margate FC's chances of reaching the play offs would be a change.

    13. The less the Manston Aquifer Man knows on any subject, the more stubbornly he knows it.

You assign me to some unnamed and non existent political movement that is out to get you. Really, you are taking yourself far too seriously. I suppose in your fantasy world you bear the escutcheon of the class warrior rampant.

Besides if I want your opinion, I will give it to you.

    15. Holyer, I realise you must be grieving for your dead political icon, but that doesn't excuse your deliberate lies and misrepresentation. You need to accept that there are quite a number of people who disagree with you fundamentally, and who think you are a complete ****. There, I bet that idea has caused you some particular pleasure, hasn't it? Another playground puddle perhaps?

I do not understand your point, but then I suspect neither do you. However, I do notice that you still have your imaginary friends.

    1. Bizarrely, no one is posting at 6:13pm. Perhaps another should have gone to Specsavers.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
