Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
Yep a walk in the park post looks like you had a nice walk.
ReplyDeleteThe only trouble is, if you look really carefully, you can see Christine's face peeping through the undergrowth where she is chained to a tree, waiting for Norman to bring her lunch and in readiness for the next round of protests against the community centre. Once they kick off you can kiss peace and tranquility goodbye for, where Christine lurks, he of the bomming voice will not be far behind.
DeleteI thought I recognised Christine sitting on the bench?
DeleteNot scruffy enough, SG.
Deletescruffy or not 12.56, looking at them, I would not want to mess with their park!
DeleteSolo Gays, sit comfortably, engage brain and try to understand. The existing dilapidated park hal and the old age concern building are to be demolished and replaced with a new community centre of smaller footprint. There will be more park for the nature lovers to enjoy and a nice purpose built centre for all the groups that currently are having to cope in the totally inadequate existing building. Consultations and a couple of elections, where it has been introduced as an issue, indicate that most people want it, a handful of objectors, mainly non Broadstairs residents, do not. Tough!
DeletePerhaps a statue. Thew seagulls would like that.
DeleteYou do make me laugh Tom, I was just letting my imagination run riot. I played parts in the Broadstairs Dickens Plays throughout the 80s and 90s, so you now have a clue as to my sense of humour?
ReplyDeleteI am meeting Cllr Wells at a top secret location later this week, so that he can explain in detail to me what is going on.
