This morning’s walk and 99 more snaps of Ramsgate

It didn’t look too good early this morning so I didn’t go for my walk until after I took the children to school at about 8.50.

Something bizarre about my camera is it randomly seems to make things a bit dark, this is probably my fault as I have never bothered to update the software in it.

So this link takes you to the pictures as they came out of the camera http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/laptop/id11.htm and this one after running them through Microsoft Picture Manager http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/laptop/id13.htm part of a newer version of office that I am trying out on my laptop at the moment, this is a totally automated process, one just opens the whole picture file, in this case with 99 pictures in it, selects them all and clicks on Auto Correct, the whole process taking a few seconds.

Sorry the pictures didn’t come out in the same order on both pages, I will try harder next time I do this.

  1. Hello Michael,

Your cameera appears to be exposing for the brightest object.I have run your pictures through Photoshop. They come up well.

  2. Something like that JH, how do the photo shop ones compare with the ones I ran through Microsoft Picture Manager

  3. Photoshop is better because you have control over separate parts of the photo independently.

The MS programme looks OK. There is also Picasa from Google.

  4. JH it did the whole lot all 99 in about 30 seconds, something that appealed to me.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
