The odd one out here is thanetlife.blogspot.com that doesn’t have a link leading here, so it doesn’t figure in the list, as far as I understand my weblogs this is unique individual visitors.

I will add bits of my normal Sunday rant to this post as the day progresses.

The picture is looking over the cliff, the shipyard is where the pavilion is now somewhat unfortunately situated, the circular thing bottom left is the railway turntable at the end of the station and line.

The blog here that really surprises me is http://www.thanetblogs.blogspot.com/ as far as I know there are very few links leading to it.

It has been a week of blogs closed for business with ECR going off to twitter at https://twitter.com/eastcliffrichar and Dave Green in a state of suspended animation at http://eastclifframsgate.blogspot.com/

There is a joke doing the bookselling rounds at the moment and here is as good a place as any; recruitment notice in a newsagents: 'Paper persons required'. Presumably if you are flesh & blood one cannot apply?

The picture below shows the designated smoking area at Westwood Cross, complete with plastic trees and heaters, I do like to see something done in the best possible taste. My main computer has just gone completely dead which means I am seriously restricted in what I can access in terms of info, so I am wrapping this up now, as the monks sometimes wrote at the bottom of medieval manuscripts; nunc scripsi totum pro Christo da mihi potum.

Sorry this post is a bit pedestrian even now trying to get children to bed and make computers work properly, anyway you may appreciate the vid

  4. Don I don’t know what to make of it but I think you try pretty hard and your pictures are amazing.

Hey Simon what about grabbing the feeds gadget from blogger and sticking it on your sidebar, the search engines love it, the old static links mean instead of the sites that are alive coming to the top they are lost among the deadwood.

  5. I think these figures need to be taken with a pinch of something, for instance I increased my blog posts from about 10 in january to about 30 in february.

Unfortunately I've more time than I'd like recently, as a result I've myself probably clicked on your site directly from mine a lot more in the past, that said I've tripled my output which has given me an increase of about a third in visits.so I'm not sure what your figures mean particularly when you deduct my 90 additional clicks onto your site .

Blogging seems a lot more volatile with everyone having a sidebar thingy, Ive noticed that as soon as you drop from the last five post visits fall off bigtime

  6. Tony you can click away all you like and it won’t make any difference as this records unique individual visitors.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
