First picture a pram race at Wellington Crescent
Next looking from Ramsgate’s East pier towards the seafront and railway station my guess is around 1900
Next looking across Ramsgate inner and outer Harbor fishing snacks in the foreground I'm guessing early 1900s
Next Margate looking down at the paddle steamers on the jetty
Next a Thanet tram I'm not sure of the location
Next unloading coal at Margate Harbor arm
Next Lockwoods contractors it says Westgate on the sign so this could be in Westgate
Next some repairs to Margate jetty decking
Next Pegwell I think this is the construction of the sea wall
Next Pegwell coastguard cottages top right
Next Pegwell you can see the coast guard station on the top of the cliff
Finally pegwell you can see the newly constructed pier and seawall
If you are interested in the history of Pegwell as a resort I recommend coming here to Michael's bookshop in Ramsgate and having a good browse of the book called “Adventures in Shrimpville Pegwell Bay 1760 1916” by Martin Easdown.
Once I have posted these batches of pictures on the various local Facebook groups I often get additional information in the comments.
I'm now doing my best to add this information to where I have put this post on my Thanetonline blog.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
