Thanet gets the boot, proposed new parliamentary constituency boundaries and the inevitable photos and thoughts

 The big wheel at Dreamland

As you see if the electoral commission get their way like Italy the map of the new Thanet constituency will look like a boot.

At the moment the red dots mark Roger Gale's Thanet North constituency and the green ones Thanet South which usually has a different MP come election time.

This is the planned new Dover one
This the new Canterbury one

This one called Kent North Coastal

I am not really sure that these changes will get through parliament at the moment given the no overall majority and the boundary changes being very good for the conservatives. Had these changes happened before the last elections the conservatives would have a working majority at the moment.

Work in the bookshop today

this is the link to the pictures of the books we put out

After the big wheel i think I had better put up some Dreamland photos next

Meanwhile back in Ramsgate I did a bit more to the watercolour in The Royal Victoria Pavilion aka Wetherspoons

I sort of like the idea of including the bit of balcony that I'm 0n

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
