Mystery Photo - Now with the Answer, Ramsgate photos 9/11/2009, archive Thanet photos etc

I think he answer is Edgar Road Margate
The photo Is part of the Mick Twyman collection and Mick name the file Wilderness Hill, which is just the other side of the road, so I assume the photo is of Edgar Road taken from Wilderness hill. If like I just did you can fiddle with the area on google maps and I am pretty sure the gable ens is the same in both.

Anyway I obviously made that one too hard

Do you know where this Thanet photo was taken? I will put where I think it's of here tomorrow, I am 95% certain of the location.

Next the Ramsgate photos from ten years ago. Is this local history?

The differences are fairly subtle, unless you know Ramsgate pretty well I don't think you would notice the changes

Michael's Bookshop where I work here in Ramsgate has gone back into busy mode after a quiet start to the week. I decided to take advantage of a quiet week and take two bookcases apart, the intention was to change them to an improved design, and yes I did get some of this done.

Supper in Wetherspoons
I did a bit more to my watercolour sketch

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
