Margate Jetty Damage Pictures and some odd ones of Ramsgate incomprehensible ramble

Points of interest in this one are the lift now gone, the amount of sand that built up because of the war defences.
These three pictures relate to the storm damage to Margate Jetty in 1938, note the health and safety provisions.

And these removing the debris after the 1998 storm

Workwise someone asked me if I enjoy working in a bookshop, and as often happened my mind raced towards my mouth but couldn't beat over riding the gear my consciousness was in - nihilism I think the philosopher Nietzsche - wos it a state of continual self loathing? I guess Fenitschka may have taken Me Too too far - over book.
Here is the link to the books we put out today

Lou Andreas-Salomé one to add to my list to look out for, the first female psychoanalyst
Andreas-Salomé on the left and Nietzsche on the right the picture says it all really.

Bit of a wet day but I did get out for a bit after work so a few photos

link to photos

A few more brush strokes at the bar, spot - the difference - Rée - wosername.

I am thinking of petitioning for a referendum asking if we want change from government by democracy to government by referendum. We could all have usb yes or no buttons, no more politicians, but no more democracy.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
