Ramsgate lifeboat photos from about 10 years ago

I think this batch of Ramsgate photos must date from around 10 years ago, when Rank were patching up the Pav

Is the unexamined life worth living? OK I know a bit Socratic, and in the "what am I For" ballpark which is a bit on the uncomfortable front. With me it's much more; is the unrecorded life worth living? Hence the local history, the photos and most of all the sketching, to me the past is what I have apart from of course the present - writing this word now and so it's history when you read it.

Dont worry, it's just too wet to go out, take photos so I'm a bit introspective, anyway at some time about 10 years ago, it had obviously rained and I must have exited to take the photos.

Update, the rain stopped in the evening and I did get out for a bit of painting and a few photos to confirm I was alive today to a future me

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
