Archive Ramsgate and Margate pictures and Ramsgate photos today mostly the Pleasurama site

Recognise this bit of old Ramsgate anyone

Monday in the bookshop, busy again and I didn't get time for an April fool post, sorry about that but the morning just vanished. This is the link to the books we put out today the animation of the magic moving picture on the front of the last book is a new departure for us.
Not sure which of the historic pictures I have used before and whether to try and make some sort of fuss to the council about putting the Pleasurama site to the council this year. To be honest my civic duty time is filled up with what I am contributing to a public enquiry at the moment.
Perhaps the candidates in the forthcoming council elections will have something to say about Pleasurama, although we were in power and didn't sort it out, or the opposition were in power and didn't sort it out, seems to be the sum of it.

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
