Can you see The South Foreland Lighthouse from Wetherspoons in Ramsgate and the usual old pictures

An early picture of Ramsgate Viaduct I think, I expect someone to say I remember when all this was wosisname.

A busy day at work today this is the link to the photos of the books

What do I say after that? I am just off to Wetherspoons at this moment and have just put my sd card reader in my pocket in case I get some photos and want to use my phone to finish off this blog post.

Looking at the photos I took from the sundeck of Wetherspoons aka The Pav in Ramsgate this evening I am fairly certain that the white building top of the hill in this one is The South Foreland Lighthouse, any thoughts anyone? Here is the link to all of this evening's photos n.b. I put north instead of south in the title when I first put the post up so some of the auto text in Facebook posts may be wrong.

I am guessing that this set of Margate pictures date from about 1900

Comments, since I started writing this blog in 2007 the way the internet works has changed a lot, comments and dialogue here were once viable in an open and anonymous sense. Now if you comment here I will only allow the comment if it seems to make sense and be related to what the post is about. I link the majority of my posts to the main local Facebook groups and to my Facebook account, “Michael Child” I guess the main Ramsgate Facebook group is We Love Ramsgate. For the most part the comments and dialogue related to the posts here goes on there. As for the rest of it, well this blog handles images better than Facebook, which is why I don’t post directly to my Facebook account, although if I take a lot of photos I am so lazy that I paste them directly from my camera card to my bookshop website and put a link on this blog.
